The procedure itself takes only a few minutes and no anesthesia other than a simple topical anaesthetic cream is required. Botox is injected with a fine needle into specific muscles with only minor discomfort. It generally takes three to seven days to take full effect. Aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications should be stopped two weeks before treatment as well in order to reduce bruising. All side-effects will be explained to you during your consultation with our doctor, but any temporary bruising and swelling can be treated with arnica-based creams and can be covered with make- up while any asymmetries are usually corrected during a FREE follow up session.
